The ARR Brand holds a special place in the hearts of South Indian people, owing much of its prominence to the visionary Late Sri A.R.RAMASAMY. Renowned as a former member of the legislative assembly in Tamil Nadu and the ex-chairman of Kumbakonam municipality, A.R.RAMASAMY’s life was a testament to his unwavering dedication to both his family and the broader society. His legacy is rooted in his entrepreneurial endeavors that spanned decades, leaving an indelible mark on the business landscape of Kumbakonam.

Transitioning from the political arena to the realm of business, A.R.RAMASAMY embarked on a remarkable journey in 1947 by venturing into seeval production. With a modest investment of Rs 3000 and the labor of four individuals, he laid the foundation of what would eventually become the renowned ARR Brand. This transition marked the beginning of his lifelong dedication not only to his family’s prosperity but also to the betterment of society and the people of his country.

The Beginning of ARR Brand

In 1947, ARR Brand was established with a small investment. Throughout the 1950s and 1960s, ARR imported raw materials and adapted to policy changes by sourcing locally in 1962. Late in the 1960s, an electronic slicing machine was introduced, catering to increased demand.

Innovation and Packaging

The 1970s witnessed the introduction of a semi-automatic slicing machine, revolutionizing production. ARR also evolved its packaging, offering various packet sizes to meet market demands.

In the 1990s and 2000s, ARR focused on quality, adopting hygienic packaging materials and establishing a Registered Trademark for branding.

In February 2009, ARR celebrated its 60th anniversary, marking six decades of commitment to quality and innovation.

Increasing Brand Diversity

ARR diversified its product range, introducing Sugantha supari in 1984 and a fruit mix in 1996. The brand also democratized access to special-colored lime and varieties of Beeda Products, making it accessible to all.

Innovative and Initiative.

From the 4th generation of ARR, we have introduced innovative products such as Arr Paan Delight, Arr Beeda Mittai, and Dates Stuffed. We have expanded our product line to include supplement products, and Mr. Surendran introduced these products.
